To see pictures of camps from previous years, go to the camps page. Last year we fund raised for a camp that was going to be cancelled, but because of donations it went ahead. To see last years appeal and review of the camp click here. This year there will be three camps, one has already got the funding from another organisation so that leaves two camps that will need to be paid for. The reasons we want to run two instead of one are that last years camp was oversubscribed and there were too many children for the site and we want to divide the ages into groups. Ian and Sue will help with the organising and helping workers at Hannah to run the camp. The cost per child per day is ten UK pounds. There will be twenty four children and they will stay for five days making the total cost of the camp £1,200. Because we are running two camps we are trying to raise a total of £2,400 This may sound a lot of money, and for most of us it is.... BUT if 240 people give £10 that would pay for both of the camps. To sponsor a child for the full five days the cost would be £50. If you cannot give the full ten pounds but would like to help, any donation would be appreciated, especially by the children. You can give by either sending a UK cheque/postal order to the charity's main address (P.O. Box 219, Bishop Auckland, DL14 4BB, United Kingdom) or you can give online via Paypal. You don't need a Paypal account to give, you can give using your credit card or Switch card. When donating via this method please insert "Camp appeal" in the purpose box and fill in the amount you would like to give. I will keep updating this page as we go to let you know how much we have raised so far.
