A quick update to show the difference upvc double glazing can make. When we ordered the four windows for the kitchen end of the house, we were told they would be fitted in around two weeks. One week and a day later the windows are in. They came to fit them just after seven O'clock this morning!

The picture shows the two large windows in the passage. If you saw the last update you will see a similar picture with the old windows. I have started to install the radiators in this end and you will see the radiator on the wall ready for the pipes too.

Today I also broke through the foundations to make a way for the water pipe from the pump. I laid the water pipe in the house and I now have to lay the cable for the electric to the pump and I can then fill in the trench inside the house. Outside I have to tunnel under the concrete to the well at the other end of the trench. (Not looking forward to this job, any takers ??!!) The new submersible pump can then be dropped into the well and we will have water in the house.

The next update will hopefully show the pipework finished and the floor in the kitchen finished. We have decided on underfloor heating in the kitchen as it is such a large room.

Till next time.....
