As you saw in the last update there was a whole kitchen for Ian to assemble. Well most of this is built as you will see from todays photos.

We are at a bit of a standstill as we have run out of money to continue with any large jobs.

As you will see there is no worktops as we, (Sue), could not decide on what colour she wanted and now, as I said we are waiting for the sale of the apartment to give us money to continue.

The wall cupboards need another one at the end to be finished off but Ikea gave us a 40cm cupboard instead of the 30cm we asked for. The last floor cupboard is not finished because one of the feet has a bit missing on the bottom and so needs to be exchanged. We have also found we can get more floor cupboards so we will get these when we go back to Bucharest to pick up Stephen from the airport in two weeks time.

I have also been doing small bits of jobs that don't really merit a mention on their own like filling in channels in walls where cables and pipes have been put before the rooms can be replastered.

One bit of good news is that we have sold the apartment and should be signing contracts next week sometime. We have had the double glazing guy back and we like the quote so as soon as we get the money from the apartment we can give a deposit and he can start to make the windows.

The small bathroom, additional work.

On a sad note I heard water running and found that the water tank was draining in around twenty minutes. On investigation we have found that there must be a leak in the old system that was already in the house. We have located this to the small bathroom but could not find the leak.

The picture shows the small bathroom with holes in the tiles. We think that the leak is under the floor so I am waiting to borrow a hammer drill to dig up the floor. Hopefully all we need to do is to cap off the pipe and lay the floor back down.

We need to find the same or similar tiles to replace the ones we have broken but I think I saw some where we bought the kitchen tiles.

Keep coming back for more updates.
