Inside our well.
This is written at a time when we don't have enough water in the well to get the submersible pump working. We now have to go out to the well and draw water by hand just like our neighbours.
This stopped working when Joy, my sister, and her boyfriend were here. We took pictures from the top of the well to see if we could see the pump. We saw the top but could not tell how far the water went down the pump.
While sitting discussing how to tell where the water was, Dicka, Joy's boyfriend decided we could put his camera on video mode and drop it into the well on a piece of string. We then thought it would be dark and would not be able to see anything.
He then started to take his head lamp off it's head band and we taped it to the camera. The first time we sent the camera down it spun as the string decided to unravel itself.
We then used a piece of thin wire and the results are in the video below.
The camera is reported to be weather proof but as you will see it was a bit water proof too.
